Statement
(ENG)I understand my artistic practice as a hand that doodles.
Drawings and installations arise from the impulse to touch thematerial, to explore repetition, trial and error. My practice is a way of leaving traces to remember and make the fragility visible. I am not seeking a finished form, but rather a fluency of becoming.
Since motherhood began, I have tried to draw every day.
It has gradually become a dance, a ritual.
(ESP)Veo mi practica artística como una mano que garabatea. Los dibujos y las instalaciones surgen del impulso de tocar el material, explorar la repetición, la prueba y el error. Mi obra es una forma de dejar huella para recordar y para hacer visible lo indecible. Testigo misterioso de la fragilidad.
No busco una forma acabada, sino más bien una fluidez del ir siendo.
Desde que comenzó la maternidad, intento dibujar todos los días.
Se fue convirtiendo en una danza y un ritual.

Lucía Szych (Mar del Plata, Argentina, 1987) lives and works in Berlin. She is a visual artist and graphic designer.
Her practice has evolved through drawing and sculpture workshops with Morena Maehashi, explorations in screen printing with Mariela Scafati, and ongoing involvement in Lorena Fernández’s Artistic Practices Workshop.
Master of Arts in Spatial Strategies, Kunsthochschule Weißensee (KHB), Berlin (2020). Graphic Design studies, University of Buenos Aires (2013).

Lucía Szych (Mar del Plata, Argentina, 1987) vive y trabaja en Berlín. Es artista visual y diseñadora gráfica.
Hizo talleres de dibujo y escultura con Morena Maehashi. Aprendió serigrafía con Mariela Scafati. Y es parte de Taller de Prácticas Artísticas de Lorena Fernández.
Se graduó del Master Estrategias del Espacio en la Universidad de Arte de Weißensee (KHB) Berlin (2020). Estudió Diseño Gráfico en la Universidad de Buenos Aires (2013).
