I understand my artistic practice as a hand that doodles.

Drawings and installations arise from the impulse to touch thematerial, to explore repetition, trial and error. My practice is a way of leaving traces to remember and make the fragility visible. I am not seeking a finished form, but rather a fluency of becoming.

Since motherhood began, I have tried to draw every day.

It has gradually become a dance, a ritual.

Lucía Szych (Mar del Plata, Argentina, 1987) lives and works in Berlin. She is a visual artist and graphic designer.

Her practice has evolved through drawing and sculpture workshops with Morena Maehashi, explorations in screen printing with Mariela Scafati, and ongoing involvement in Lorena Fernández’s Artistic Practices Workshop.
